Re: How to become an IPS officer? Qualification needed?
The basic educational qualification required is a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. There is no separate exam for IPS [Indian Police Service]. You need to appear for Common Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC [Union Public Service Commission]. The exam is conducted in 3 steps: Preliminary Exam, Main Exam and a Personality Test [Interview]. UPSC publishes notification for the Preliminary exam in "Employment News" and other major daily news papers in the month of November/December.

[QUOTE=bharti tyagi;348212]what is the path to become an i.p.s officer and what qualification need for this job and give me the total step to become an i.p.s officer.?[/QUOTE
A simple graduate can opt for civil services and on cracking them can opt for being an IPS officer. I personally find it much worth opting as a career choice than IAS 'coz of the field service involved in it. I will prefer you to learn the tricks and get yourself acquainted with the UPSC syllabus thoroughly for cracking the exam. Also, You have two options.. either look for some offline coaching or go online. I personally prefer online course 'coz a) you get the best deal i.e. the teacher at your doorstep b) saves your precious time c) proves economical d) interactive session with 1-1 personal connection visit: http://www.wiziq.com/course/119-ias-general-studies-prelimnary-course |
