IPS : Indian Police Service.

To become IPS Officer you need to apply for the UPSC Civil services examination, This examination was Conducted by UPSC Every year in Two Stages, Preliminary examination and Main examination.

Preliminary examination was Objective and there are 2 Papers in this examination and both are of same marks and Duration, Those who cracked the preliminary examination eligible for Main examination, So please prepare well for Preliminary examination according to the Syllabus, Only then you will be able to cracked this examination.

Hello friend,
To become an IPS officer, one need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
Must be a graduate, in any discipline
Must be within the age limit of 21-30 years.
(Maximum age limit for candidates belonging to OBC category is 33 years and for candidates belonging to SC/ST category is 35 years.)

If you are eligible, you will have to write civil service exam conducted by union public service commission. The examination comprise of three stages and you need to qualify each stage to get selected for Indian Police Service.
The three stages of civil service exam are:
Civil Service Aptitude Test
Main Exam
Interview

IPS stands for Indian Police Service.

for joining in to IPS , you have to write union public service commission exams.

it has some eligibility criteria .

**educational qualification is graduation in any stream from any recognized university.

**age limit:-

for general candidates 21 to 30years.

for BC candidates 21 to 33years.

for SC/ST candidates 21 to 35years.

you fulfill this criteria means apply the exams.

the exam has CSAT and MAINS exam

there is no percentage criteria in graduation.

Hello Friend..

To become IPS officer,
you will need to apper in the civil service examination.
Civil Service examination is conducted every year by UPSC(union public service commission).

Eligibility
1-The minimum educational qualification required to be eligible for this exam is a bachelor degree in any stream.
2-The minimum eligible age for general candidate is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 30 years.
Relaxation of age for candidate belonging to OBC category is 3 years and for candidate belonging to SC/ST category is 5 years.

**Candidate needs to face three phases of the examination**.

1. Preliminary examination-conducted during the second half of may.
In the preliminary exam, you will have to write two papers.
General studies
Optional Paper

Following is the list of optional subject
Psychology,
Agriculture ,
Botany,
Commerce,
Economics,
Geography,
IndianHistory ,
Law,
Civil Engineering ,

IPS is a part of Civil Services, and its exams are conducted by UPSC. Anyone who has completed 21 years of age on 1st August of the year can apply for IPS exam. You can read more information on this from the website of UPSC. Before appearing for Civil Services examinations, it is advisable to build an alternative career for yourself. So, you should for now pay attention to your engineering first and try to develop your personality. You can then later on sit for the IPS officer paper.

IPS stands for indian police service, to become an IPS officer you have

the exam is conducted in four phases;

4)physical test

eligibility for IPS exam is;
-you should be graduate from any recognized university
-your age should be between 21-30 for general,
21-33 for OBC and 21-35 for SC/ST
-your height must not be less than 165 cm and 160 for ST for male
and 150 cm and 145 cm for ST girls
-your chest should be 84 cm with 5 cm expansion for male
and 79 cm with 5 cm expansion for girls...

IPS(Indian Police Service) Officer you need to apply for the UPSC Civil services examination,

Eligiblity Criteria -


Eligibility criteria-
Education:have to complete your Graduate degree form a recognised university.

Age limit-21 must be complete on 1st aug(Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs ).

Physical criteria-
Height – Male 165 cm Pahari Male (general also) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) – 160 cm

Female 150 cm Pahari Female (general also) & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm

Chest – Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.

Exam Date : Prelim in 1st week of May & Mains in 2nd week of Oct.

Indian Police Service exam is part of Civil Service exam.So if you fulfill with Civil service exam,then you are also eligible for Indian Police Service exam.Civil service exam is conducted by UPSC every year once.

Eligibility criteria for Civil service exam:
Education qualification:
You should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university.
Age limit:
If you belong to General category,then your age should be between 21 to 30 years.
If you belong to OBC category,then your age should be between 21 to 33 years.
If you belong to SC/ST category,then your age should be between 21 to 35 years.

Number of Attempts:
If you belong to General category,then you can attempt 4 times
If you belong to OBC category,then you can attempt 7 times
If you belong to SC/ST category,then you can attempt 14 times.

If you fulfill with above mentioned criteria,then you can appear for this year civil service exam.

Issuing of application form from 4th Feb 2012 to 5th March 2012.
Exam will held on 20th May 2012.

Hi,

To become IPS officer , you have to appear for the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) examination.

It has three type of phase,you need to clear:-

-objective Aptitude Test
-Written Descriptive examination
-Personal Interview

Merit list will be made based on descriptive exam and interview. To sit in Descriptive exam ,you need to pass aptitude test.

If your rank in merit list is good , then you will have the choice to go for IPS.

Eligibility criteria:-

-You need to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognized university.

-Your age should between 21 to 30 years.

-Final year graduate candidates are also apply for UPSC Civil services examination.

You need to have the knowledge of English and Hindi.

-There is No minimum percentage is Required to apply for this examination.

If you want to become I.P.S officer then you have to pass the graduation in any stream you want from the recognized university.

I.P.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year.

IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.

Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.

But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate.In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.

Also you must be citizen of India.

Exam Pattern:
There is a two exams are there.
1.Preliminary Examination: It is objective type
2.Main Examination:It includes written Examination and personal Interview

Required Qualification to join IPS:-
You should have completed Graduation degree in any discipline from recognized university.
Candidate appeared/appearing in the final exam of above such program are also eligible to apply for IPS.
There is no restriction on minimum percentage of marks for Graduation course.
your Age should ne in between 21 to 30 years. You must hav an Indian citizenship.
Both male & female candidates are eligible to become an IPS officer.

IPS - INDIAN POLICE SERVICE, to become an IPS officer, one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year for recruitment of IAS/IPS/IRS/IFS/IES etc. officer under Central Govt.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION FOR IPS OFFICER UNDER CIVIL SERVICE EXAM:-

-The candidate must be an Indian National.
-Should have either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University.
-Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.
-Should have possessed good Physical and Mental Fitness.

Apart from this a minimum Physical requirement for aspiring IPS candidate are as follows:-

HEIGHT should be 165cm for General Male and should be 150cm for Female candidate which should be 160cm for SC/ST Male and should be 145cm for Female candidate.

CHEST should be 85cm for Male and in case of Female should be 79cm which is expandable to 5cm in both the cases.

The UPSC examination comprises of two successive stages. IPS exam is carried out by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) and constitutes two stages:

1. The Preliminary Examination and
2. The Main Examination.


• Preliminary Exam comprises multiple choice questions aFnd is also a qualifying exam for appearing into second exam.
• Main Examination which comprises a written exam and an interview.

Eligibility for IPS exam


You must be graduate.final year students also can apply.
You must be 21 years (minimum) and 30 years (maximum) at the time of taking exam. SC/ST/OBC and ex-servicemen are given exemption of 3 to 5 years in maximum age limit.
People belonging to general category can appear for IPS exam four times, while OBCs can appear for seven times but no limit has been set for SC/ST. keep in mind, even appearing in just exam is counted as an attempt.
You also need to meet physical standards mentioned in application form.

Syllabus:

Current Events ,History of India ,Indian and World Geography, Indian Polity and Indian Governance, Economic and Social Development, General Issues, General Science, Logical Reasoning, analytical ability, Decision Making, Problem Solving ,General Mental ability ,Basic Numeracy ,Data Interpretation ,English Language comprehension

IPS exam courses:
Since the civil services sector is a lucrative career option and is in great demand due to the high level of job security it offers, it attracts a lot of aspiring candidates.

The eligible candidate aspiring for IPS Civil Service Exam, must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good Physical Fitness.

Apart from this the candidate should maintain the minimum Physical requirements such as:-

In order to become an IPS officer you have to appear in civil services exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) each year. This exam is conducted each year for the selection of candidates for the various posts like IAS, IPS etc. This exam is one of the toughest entrance exams. You have to pass through various exams in order to become an IPS officer.
This exam is conducted only once in a year.

Eligibility criteria :-

1)- In order to apply for this exam you should have a bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university and also there is no percentage requirements to apply this exam. So if you just passed the Graduation course then also you can apply for this exam.

Selection Process:-

Paper II - English of 300 marks
Paper III - Essay of 200 marks
Paper IV&V - General Studies of 300 marks each

IPS Stands for Indian Police Service Examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year .

Eligibility Criteria ::

You must have a completed your degree course in any discipline or equivalent qualification and any discipline like Commerce OR Science OR Arts from a recognized University . No Specific percentage required for the IPS Examination but try to score more than pass marks because it is very useful in this examination as well as future .

This Exam is being conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission)
once in a year.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR IPS EXAM:-

The candidate must be a citizen of India.
The candidate must have a a age limit of 21-30 years.
For SC/ST - 35 years.
For OBC - 33 years.
For Ex-service men it is 5 years from the prescribed limits.
The candidate must have a degree from a recognized university.

Attempts:

For OPEN-4, OBC-7,SC/ST-NO LIMIT.

The complete selection procedure for this is by
-CSAT (Civil Services Aptitude Test)
-Civil Services Main Examination
-Interview

Here is the required eligibility criteria to appear for civil services exam.

Academic Qualification :
-You should have completed Graduation with any of the steam from a recognized university.
-Even the candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation are also eligible to give this exam but they should be able to show the proof of passing in Graduation when they appear for Interview.

Age limit :
-A candidate of General category should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for this exam.
-Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 3 years for the candidates of OBC category.
-For the candidates of SC/ST category, relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 5 years.
-Relaxation is there in upper age limit upto 10 years for the candidates with physical disabilities.

As you are a candidate pursuing final year of B.Com course, you are eligible to give this exam.

Have good preparation for this exam and crack it.

You need to get very high score in the written exam to be placed in IPS. Otherwise you might be placed in other civil services.

Keep this in mind and prepare accordingly.

Minimum qualification to become an IPS officer is Graduation.

Exam for IPS is called CSAT and it is the same exam as IAS, conducted by UPSC.

Eligibility to appear for CSATexam for IPS -

Candidate should be og Indian Origin.

Graduation in any stream from a recognised university.

Age between 21 -30 years.

iii. Qualification:
you should be minimum a graduation degree holder from any Indian University or other educational institution deemed as a University. If at all you are in the final year degree course also then can apply for and appear in the Aptitude Test.
iv. Number of Attempts:
General- four
OBC- seven attempts
Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe- unlimited.
v. Reservation:
Reservation is allowed for those candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and who are Physically disabled categories in respect of vacancies as may be fixed by the Government from time to time.

For IPS you also need to clear certain physical & medical standards as listed below:-

Eye sight –
6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye.
Near vision J1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye.
The correction by lenses only. High standard for the Colour-blind test. No inherent night blindness. Vision should stereoscopic.

Ear- good listening & normal ear cavity. 1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment should not be more than 30 decibels.

Nasal- clear and free from any polyps and injury, both nasal passages should be clear.

Speech-The candidate should not stammer while speaking.

Height –
Male 165 cm Male (general) & (SC/ ST/ OBC) – 160 cm
Female 150 cm Female (general) & (SC/ ST/ OBC)- 145 cm

Chest –
Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.
Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm.

Blood pressure (High) :–
123– 127.

Ladies should not be pregnant at the time of Medical Test.

The physical standards are a rigorous training at the NPA, which includes weekly run for 10 k.m. in 60 minutes, route march for 25 k.m. UAC, Horse riding, rock climbing, assault course, PT obstacles, rope climbing etc.

The eligible candidate aspiring for IPS, must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate with good physical Fitness.

There are certain prescribed physical requirements to be maintained by aspiring candidate for IPS:-

Height should be 165cm for General Male and 150cm for Female candidate while it should be 160cm for SC/ST Male and should be 145cm for Female counterpart.

Chest should be 85cm for Male and 79cm for Female candidate expandable to 5cm in both the case.

IPS Officer stands for Indian Police Services officer. This post comes under civil services and the exam of this is conducted by Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) once in a year. The Indian Police Service is simply known as IPS.
Qualification For IPS Officer :
1.To eligible for becoming an IPS officer ,the aspirant should have posses a degree course or equivalent in any Recognized Indian University.Those students in the final year are also apply for preliminary exam of IPS conduct by UPSC (Union Public Service commission) every year .
Age:
For General : Minimum Age- 21 & Maximum Age- 30.
The maximum age limit will be relaxed by 3 year for OBC , 5 year for SC/ST and also relaxed in favour of Defence services Personnel.
For IPS the candidate must be a citizen of India.
These are the required qualifications to become an IPS officer.
