I think you are Interested to become IAS/IPS Officer in Future and to become IAS/IPS Officer, you have to complete your Graduate degree course first and then you are eligible to apply for Civil services Aptitude test.

There is No Percentage is Required to apply for CSAT Examination.

Civil Services Examination is conducted every year by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to various services like the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service and Indian Police Service, as well as Group A and Group B Central Services.

You must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years, The upper age limit will be relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates, by 3 years for candidates of OBC.

The examination is Conducted in 2 stages, Preliminary Examination and Main examination.

Firstly you have to cracked the Preliminary examination and there are 2 papers in this examination and both are of same marks and Duration, If you cracked the Preliminary examination, only then you are eligible for Main examination.

In Main examination there are 9 papers and you have to choose the subjects in main examination on the basis of Graduation, the Question Papers III to IX will be set both in Hindi and English.

For this year CSAT Examination Notification will be Published on 04/Feb/2012.

The last date of apply for this examination 05/March/2012

Preliminary examination Date : 20/May/2012.

In India UPSC{Union Public Service Commission} conducts Civil Service Examination for recruitment to the various Civil Services of the Government of India, including Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and Indian Revenue Service (IRS) among others.


Civil Service Examination is Divided into Two parts named as:

1. Preliminary Exam or CSAT(Civil Service Aptitude Test)

2. MAIN Exam


>> So interested students need to appear in Preliminary Exam(CSAT). Further if you qualify the CSAT then you will be eligible for Main Exam.





Eligibility Criteria for CSAT Exam:

• You must have completed Graduation degree in any steam from recognized Institute/University.
  
• The final year degree students are also applying for the examination
  
• Your Age must be between 21 to 30years(for BC 21 to 33years & for Sc/st 21 to 35years)
  
• You must be an Indian Citizen.
  
• One has completed his/her M.B.B.S.,can also apply.

Number of Permissible Attempts : 4 for General , 7 for OBC and Unlimited for SC/ST.

Civil service aptitude test is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year.

ELIGIBILITY:-

-- You must be an Indian citizen.
-- You must be physically fit for applying in the examination.
AGE LIMIT:-

-- Your age should not be less than 21 years & not exceed 30 years.
-- But for SC,ST, O.B.C. category upper age limit relaxation is available.
-- For SC/ST- 5 years of age relaxation. i.e. age limit 21-35 years.
-- For O.B.C- 3 years of age relaxation. i.e. age limit 21-33 years.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:-

-- You must have completed your graduation from recognized university.
-- Candidates passed their graduation from Technical/Professional courses are also eligible to apply.
-- Final year candidates can also apply.
-- There is nothing about minimum percentage.
-- Only passing mark is enough to appear the exam.
NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS:-

-- For open category candidates 4 attempts, for O.B.C 7 attempts & unlimited attempts for SC/ST candidates are available.

I have completed my ty.bcom on oct 2010 with 40percentage but i m interseted in upsc
can i do upsc

i have gained 48% in b.com (general category). can i appear for csat exam next year? plz reply soon.
