i'm a student of pre final year doing B.Tech from Punjab Tech. University.I want to know the scope for girls in indian army after B.Tech in ECE with entrance test available for it?

For your qualification, you can find a career in Indian Air Force in the Technical Branch.
The recruitment in Technical Branch is done for the post of Aeronautical Engineer
(Mechanical / ELectronics) through Air Force Common Admission Test.

The advertisement for the the test (AFCAT) is published on Air Force career website
and in Employment News weekly.

You can apply for the AFCAT during final year or after passing B.Tech.
The age limitation for this, is
18-28 years for married candidates and
18-25 years for unmarried candidates.

You should have at least 60% marks in B.Tech. in aggregate.

You should note that the women are recruited under Short Service Commission
and Men are recruited under Permanent Commission.

Girls can only apply for the Indian Army as an officer after the completion of their graduation through CDS-Combined defence service examination and if your are a engineering student then you can also apply through Technical graduate course(TGC) entry after the completion of your engineering. Both the entries are described in detail below:

Combined defence service examination(CDSE) :

This examination is conducted by the UPSC twice in a year. To apply for this examination you should be graduate in any discipline from the recognized university.
Those appeared in the final year are also eligible to apply for this examination.

Age Limit :

Indian Military Academy 19-23 Years
Air Force Academy 19-23 Years
Naval Academy 19-22 Years
Officers’ Training Academy 19-25 Years


Technical Graduate Course(TGC) Entry :

This entry scheme is only for the Engineering students. A candidate can apply through this entry scheme in the final year of engineering or after the completion of their engineering.

Age Limit :

Candidate age should be between 20 to 27 years.
