First thing I would like to know you that for being a doctor wity any specialisation you need to be a MBBS degree holder.

MBBS stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery and as the name suggests it is a bachelor degree course of five and a half years including one year of internship.

Basically to pursue MBBS degree course you need to a higher secondary school degree holder with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as your main subjects from a recognized board. And for pursuing the same course from top medical colleges of India you must qualify either NEET or AIIMS mbbs entrance examination.

Apart from having MBBS degree course to be a phychaitrist you will have to do either Diploma in phycological medicine course or MD in phychaitry course after your MBBS degree.

So having Mathematics instead of Biology in your academics you are not eligible for MBBS course and hence phychaitrist at present but if you appear in your higher secondary course with PCB and satisfy other criteria thereafter then you can become phychaitrist as per your wish.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
