Is there any Goverment rule that for getting registered for PhD the candidate should have cleared NET? If the candidate has not cleared NET how can he/she persue PhD?

There are numbers of entrance other then net for persuing p.hd. for example-UGC/CISR/ICSSR/ICAR/DOE/DST. UGC-JRF,GATE/teacher fellowship holders.

There are many other entrance tests to pursue Phd so please go through their official websites.

there are various courses for it....you must be keep in contact with a good site for it by subscribing for it

for getting admission to phd in varioous courses there is no need to clear NET..u can take admission directly by cracking the entrance exam of various university..NET is not at all is need in every case..if you are NET qualified it will be easy for you but its not in eligibility criteria

NET is the basic criterion which candidates must clear in order to pursue a career as lectures and enter into Ph.D programs. Even though there are other entrance exams other than NET. Few of them are CISR, ICSSR, ICAR, DOE, UGC-JRF, GATE etc. You can appear in any of these exams as to enter in to different PhD programs.

Where (which Univ.) can one apply for Ph.D if he is B.E(EEE) ,and M.Tech(CST-AI & Robotics) qualified ?

do we need mphil for admission in phd ? i have cleared Ms in communication studies ( media) and now i want to register for phd...so do i need Mphil or Net for registration process ?
