Dear Sir.

I am going to sit for the Class XII exam . My subjects are PCMB with English.My date of Birth is 22nd Dec.1993.I belong to ST Category.On my attempt to fill up the online for for NDA Exam, I could not complete it because on filling up the age columns the year 1993 was not available. The system starts the year from 1994.Why so? Am I not eligible for the said exam.

Only unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1993 and not later than 1SI January, 1996 are

eligible.

Candidates who have completed 16 1/2 years is eligible for NDA. Upper age limit is 19 years. You can apply for the test, if your age falls within this range. There is no relaxation in age for reserved category candidates. You can join defense after graduation, by qualifying CDS exam.

NDA is National Defence Academy.
For the recruitment of aspiring candidates into its various services, upsc (union public service commission) conducts NDA examination.

NDA has mainly 3 branches :

> Air Force wing

> Naval wing

> Army wing

Selection Procedure :

Selection is done mainly on the basis of
1. Written exam

2. Interview

3. Medical round

If you qualify the written exam, you will be called for interview and then for medical round. After qualifying all these rounds, you will recieve a call letter to join NDA.

To join NDA,
you must have qualified with 12th passed with recognized institution.
You must be an Indian.
You must be an unmarried male candidate.
Your age must be in between 16.5 to 19 years.
You must be physically and mentally fit.
You must have normal vision standards.

NDA - National Defence Academy, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year for an entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The minimum age of entry to NDA is 16.5 and maximum age of entry is 19 years with no upper age relaxation for any reserved category candidate.

Apart from this, the eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male candidate having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in nay stream from a recognised Board with good Physical and Mental health.

NDA stand for National Defence Service Exam.This exam is conduct twice time in a year. NDA Examination is conducted in 3 wings:-Indian Air Force , Indian Navy and Indian Army .

1) Educational Qualifications:-

For Army wing :- Only 12th standard from any stream from recognized board.

For Air Force and Naval Wings :- A candidate must have passed 10+2 with physics and mathematics subjects.

NDA exam not require any percentage marks in 12th board .Final year of 12th standard candidate can apply here .

2) Your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years old .There is no age relaxation for SC/ST/PH candidate .

No age relaxations is given to any candidates who apply for the N.D.A exams

Since you were born in the year 1993 therefore right now your age is well past 19 years. So unfortunately you wont be allowed to sit for the NDA Exam anymore.

To recruits the candidates in Army, Navy & Air Force wings of National Defence Academy the NDA Exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission twice a year. To know more about the eligibility criteria of this exam please read the information written below.

Eligibility Criteria:-

• You must be a citizen of India.
  
• Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for this exam.
  
• For Army wing of NDA: You need to be a 12th passed student or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Examination Pattern:-

The exam consists of two papers:- Maths and General Ability Test. To complete each paper you will get 2.5 hours each. While for Maths 300 marks have been allotted, for General Ability Test 600 marks have been allotted. The maths paper and part B of General Ability Test paper will be set in both Hindi and English.

If you get selected then you will be called for the interview session conducted by SSB and then you have to undergo Intelligence Test & Personality Test. The ones who wants to join the Air Force wing needs to undergo a Pilot Aptitude Test.

the eligibility criteria for nda exam are following:
1. passed/appeared in 12th with arts/commerce for army wing only.
2. passed/appeared in 12th with science for all three wings.
3. minimum age should be 16 and a half year.
4. maximum age limit is 19 years.
5. there is no upper age relaxation for any categories.
since your age is more than 19 years, so very sorry to say that you are not eligible for nda.
if your choice area is defence than first of all complete your graduation from a recognized university and than apply for cds.
the maximum age limit for cds is 25 years. so you will became graduate at that time and you can go for it.
