From my point of view, you are interested to join IPS that is Indian Police Service and you have applied for it.

Indian Police Service comes under Civil Services of India. In order to join IPS, you must crack all the stages of Civil Services examination:

1. Preliminary examination.

2. Mains Examination.

3. Personal interview.

The eligibility criteria for this exam is that candidate must have done bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final year candidates of bachelor's degree can also apply for the exam.

Age limit is 21-30 years for general category candidates and candidates of OBC and SC/ST have upper age relaxation of three years and five years respectively.

Important dates for Civil Services 2015:

Date of notification: 16/05/2015.

Last date of receiving application: 12/06/2015.

Date of examination: 23/08/2015.
