IES stands for Indian Engineering Services examination and this examination is Conducted by UPSC Every year and to apply for this examination you have to completed your Engineering degree course form these Disciplines :

>> Civil Engineering
>> Mechanical Engineering
>> Electrical Engineering
>> Electronics & telecommunication Engineering

To apply for this examination you have to complete your Engineering degree course in any one of the discipline and your age should between 21 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

M.Sc degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communications, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering as special subjects also acceptable for certain Posts in IES.

Final year appearing candidates are also apply for IES Examination Online.

Examination fees of IES : Rs 100

Eligible candidates may fill the IES 2012 Application form Online by visit the official website.

The Notification will be Published soon in the employment Newspaper or in the UPSC Website in the Month of February i.e on 25/Feb/2012

The last date of apply for IES Examination : 26/March/2012

Examination Date : 15/June/2012

IMPORTANT DATE FOR I.E.S 2012 EXAM:-

Date of notification:-18.08.2012
Last date of receipt of form:- 17.09.2012(MONDAY)
Date of exam:-01.12.2012 (SATURDAY)

NO, You are not eligible fir I.E.S exam. You have to apply after completing B.Tech course

1. NAME OF EXAMINATION I.E.S./I.S.S. EXAM., 2012

2. DATE OF NOTIFICATION 18.08.2012

3. LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS 17.09.2012(MONDAY)

4. DATE OF COMMENCEMENT OF 01.12.2012 (SATURDAY)

5. DURATION OF EXAM. 3 DAYS

i want to know that whether ies exam is organised two times ina year

hai , i want to that ,is the announcement came for engineering services exam is IES or not?
