IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. IBPS is conducting common written exams separately for the recruitment of
-Clerical positions
-Probationary Officers
-Specialist Officers for 19 public sector banks.

Recently IBPS has come up with the notification for the recruitment of Officers and Officer Assistants for Regional and Rural Banks.

The selection procedure for the recruitment of these positions will include
-Written Exam
-Interview

For the first time IBPS PO Exam was conducted in the last year and IBPS Clerk Exam was also conducted in the last year.

All the candidates who have got through these exams have received their score cards.

The validity of this score card is 1 year.

The candidates can attend for the Interview of any of 19 public sector banks by using that score card.

Many of the banks have announced Interview schedule for the recruitment of PO positions.

Few banks have announced the Interview schedule for the recruitment of Clerical positions.

IBPS is a common written exam for clerical posts.

interviews will start tentatively from 11.06.2012 in phases

selected candidates are requested to carry all the original documents including IBPS score card and duly attested photo copies to be produced before interview at the interview centre.

IBPS is conducting interviews for the qualified candidates through their score attained in the exam. Each individual bank has kept its cutoff marks apart from the IBPS cut off. So, all you need to do is to apply for the 19 individual banks and they would list out the candidates to attend the interview based on the cutoff marks that they had kept.
