I wish to know whether both 1st and 2nd year intermediate marks consider for eligibilty criteria or not.

the eligibility for BITSAT is to get more than 80% in 12th standard only and marks of any other standard will not be considered at all.....

so don't worry even if you couldn't score well in 11th .........you can score more than 80% in 12th and can get eligible for BITSAT....

In BITSAT exams, there are only considered class 12th marks. if you
got more than 80% marks in 12th standard, then you are eligible for
appearing this exams. so dont worry only your intermediate marks
will be considered for BITSAT examination. so if you are get 80%
marks in pcm, you can go for this exams...........

For BITSAT they consider only your 12th Board marks. You need t get 80% in PCM. So only the 2nd year intermediate marks will be considered for BITSAT 2010.

MATHEMATICS-1 -- 70/75(max), Mathematics-II --- 66/75(max) , Physics- 48/60(max) , Chemistry--30/60(max), Physics -Lab practicals-- 26/30(max) chemistry-Lab practicals- 27/30, English--88/100(max)

the requirement is for 80% in pcm subjects which include theory papers only.......

going that way....you total does not match 80% ....and so you might not be able to go for counseling for bitsat...........

try for some other courses ....in other institutes ....

Only +2 standard marks are required for appearing in BITSAT as per the eligibility criteria defined by BITS.

Is there any criteria for being selected without writing the exam

in state board result,they add both 11 and 12,but in cbse & icse they take in for 12th only. bits publishes its advertisements in news papers and in websites like freshers world.
