I am retiring from service on 30 Sept 2015. I want to apply for bank clerk exam. What is age relaxation for ex servicemen? My age is 45 yrs.

Age relaxation for Ex-Servicemen Candidates to apply for Bank Clerk Examination:

Yes, you are eligible to apply for Bank Clerical Cadre Examinations being a Ex-Servicemen candidate. The maximum age allowed to apply for this Bank Clerical Cadre Examination is "50 years". Here is the detailed age criteria allowed for Bank Clerk Exams.

Minimum Age : 20 years

Maximum Age : 28 years

>> For Ex-Servicemen/ Disabled Ex-Servicemen:

@ Actual period of service rendered in the defense forces + 3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen Belonging to SC/ ST category) subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years.

@ Since your age is 45 years, you are certainly eligible to apply for Banking Clerical Cadre Examinations.

***Minimum 20 years
Maximum 28 years
OBC can apply till 31 years
SC/ST can apply till 33 years
Ex Service Men can apply till maximum 50 years of age.

-So, in you case if you have done service for 20 years, than you get 23 years age relaxations.
-Maximum age to apply for general category is 28 years....

As per age criteria you are not eligible for Bank clerk exam.

Those candidates who have completed graduation degree from a recognized university are eligible for IBPS and SBI clerk exam.

Your age should be in between 20 to 28 years.

Age relaxation is provided for reserved category candidates.

SC/ST ==> 5 years
OBC ==> 3 years
PWD ==> 10 years
Ex-Servicemen ==> 5 years
Widows ==> 9 years
