Am i eligible for IFS with B.Sc. (Zoology) qualification?

UPSC conducts Indian Forest Service’s (IFS) Exam for recruitment to forestry services of India. In IFS exam you have to clear two rounds. First is written and second is Personal Interview.

IFS Exam Eligibility :

Educational Criteria

The Candidates need to hold the Bachelor Degree in Science with at least one of the following subject: Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Geology, Statistics, Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry; or Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (any stream).

The age Limit

The Age limit is 21 - 30 years .
There is a age relaxation for reserved candidates.

The candidates should be a citizen of India.

I.F.S stands for the Indian Foreign Services and the examination to join the services is conducted by the UPSC as the civil services examination.

The eligibility to appear for the examination is :-
* Candidate must have passed the graduation from the recognized university.
* Candidate age must be between 21-30 years and relaxation in the age for the reserved category candidate.

The application for the 2O15 is closed and so you have to wait for next year to appear in the examination. The examination is conducted in the three stages and the candidate need to qualify in all the stages for the final selection.

* Mains.
* Interview.

Paper I:- General English (300 marks)
Paper II:- General Knowledge (300 marks)
Paper III-VI:- Any two selected optional subject (200 marks for each paper)
Personality Test:- 300 marks

Yeah you are eligible for joining in IFS after completing B.sc as you are satisfying the needed educational qualification. The needed educational qualification is that the candidate appearing should have completed a degree in any stream from a recognized university.

# The candidate should have a citizenship in India.

# Age limit needed for general category candidate is 21-30 years.

# For SC/ST it is 21-35 years and for OBC it is 21-33 years.

If you satisfy them all including the educational qualification, then you are eligible to join in the post. The candidates are selected through:
