i have completed 12th in PCM.
Please let me know my eligibility
for joining Indian Navy?

Yeah, you are absolutely eligible to apply for Indian Navy after completing 12th standard. You have plenty of options in Indian Navy after completing 12th standard and they are:

10+2 Technical Navy Entry Scheme:

• Applicant must have obtained 70% marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics and 50% marks in English subject in X std or XII std.
• Applicant should be unmarried male candidate.
• Applicant age should be between 17 years to 19 years.
• No upper age limits.

National Defence Academy Examination:

• Applicant should have completed 10+2 with physics and mathematics from a recognized school or equivalent qualification.
• Applicant should be unmarried male candidate.
• Applicant age should be between 16 1/2 years to 19 years.
• No upper age limits.
• No percentage bar is there to apply for this examination.

SSR Examination:

• Applicant should have completed 10+2 with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects and at least one of the subject chemistry or biology or computer science from a recognized school or equivalent qualification.
• Applicant should be unmarried male candidate.
• Applicant age should be between 16 1/2 years to 19 years.
• No upper age limits.
• No percentage bar is there to apply for this examination.

Yes, you are eligible to join in Indian Navy after completion of your 12th standard. To join in Indian Navy, you need to appear in NDA examination conducted by UPSC twice a year and the eligibility criteria required to appear in NDA examination is mentioned below :-

1. You must be a citizen of India.

2. You must have completed 12th standard or equivalent with Mathematics and Chemistry subjects from a recognised board.

3. You must be a Unmarried Male candidate.

4. You must be in between 16 1/2 to 19 years old.

5. You must be Physically fit as per physical standards mentioned in the UPSC NDA examination notification.

By qualifying the NDA written examination, you will be called for Personal Interview. Based upon your performance in all rounds of NDA examination, you will be finally selected into Indian Navy.

You have competed 12th standard with PCM so you are eligible for Indian Navy through NDA exam.

Candidates who have completed the 12th standard from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam. Final year of 12th standard are eligible for NDA exam. Your age should be in between to 16.5 years to 19.5 years.

Written examination will be divided into 2 parts-

Mathematics-300 marks.
General ability Test- 600 marks.

Total time duration for 2 papers is 300 mins

General Ability Test -

English 200 marks
General Knowledge 400 marks

Yes , you can join in Indian navy . You can apply for the NDA exam to join in Navy

National Defence Academy exam :-

Generally to apply for the exam ,

* The candidate shouldhave completed 12th with PCM subjects from any recognised Board
* Age of the candidate shouldbe in between 16.5 to 19 years only
* The candidate shouldbe a citizen of India
* The candidate shouldbe an unmarried candidate
** Only male candidates are allowed for the exam .


The exam will be held by UPSC , two times in every year.

I am girl .My DOB is 08-07-2001. My 12TH PCM percent is 94 Can I able for navy SSR 2018
