Re: Which engineering field has more PSU job options?
I will suggest you to go for CIVIL or Mechanical. Because these two Engineering Branches have more requirements in PSU by the government.
Since, Mechanical is evergreen branch as everyone knows and civil is the foundation of life. SO, you can opt any of the two mentioned branch. from Mechanical you will get placed in any of the government automobile company and from civil you will be placed in the construction department. |

Re: Which engineering field has more PSU job options?
Generally at present scenario, every discipline of engineering has opportunities in different public sector and private sector companies. But there are certain disciplines of engineering which are considered to be evergreen in terms of career and job opportunities.
So, given below engineering fields have more PSU jobs options as compared to rest of engineering disciplines: 1. Civil Engineering. 2. Mechanical Engineering. 3. Electrical Engineering. 4. Electronics and Communication Engineering. But for PSU jobs, you must clear Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering exam because at present almost all PSUs recruit candidates on basis of GATE scorecard. |

Re: Which engineering field has more PSU job options?
All government PSUs need Electronics and Communication, Mechanical, Instrumentation and Computer Science engineers. So you can choose any one of the above in the engineering graduation. In many of the PSU companies recruit people who cleared the GATE with good marks. So after your engineering you can also clear the GATE for a PSU job.
