I am commerce graduate with 38% & DOB 1979 Nov 22, can I apply for govt. job? Please advise me for my future. Thanking you. Would you please help me in this regard?

Being a commerce graduate you can get into government jobs as there are many vacancy for which you can apply with the qualification you possess. You have got low percentage in your graduation but still there are some entrance exams which you conducted all India wide for various posts in government. One of those exams the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

This public service commission is conducted every year for various posts in government and consists of posts such as civil services, defence services, railways jobs, geologist and various other posts. For applying for these posts there are certain respected eligibility criteria which is framed for those exams and you need to satisfy which includes criteria's such as nationality, age limit, educational qualification and for some of the exam there will be physical standards. You need to satisfy them all in order to be eligible.

Right now you are 36 years old and with which you are eligible for some of the exams as regarding the age limit criteria. You will be eligible for most of the exams if you are related to category SC/ST/OBC as there are age relaxation. Make sure you satisfy all the criteria's at the time of applying.

Apart from this you can even apply for the IBPS exam which is conducted for bank oriented jobs such as for the post of Clerk, Probationary officer, Specialist officer. You also need to satisfy the eligibility criteria for these exams.

You have completed graduation degree in commerce so you are eligible for government sector jobs. Your age is suitable for government sector jobs. The maximum age limit for government sector jobs is 30 years.

You can apply for following government sector jobs.

Civil Service Exam

CDS exam

Banking sector

CTET/TET exam

Railway exam

PSC exam

Staff selection commission exam

There are so many Government Jobs are available for those candidate who have completed their Graduation in Commerce Stream. Being a Commerce Graduate student you can apply for Civil Service Exam or Other State Government exam. You can apply for the Civil Service Exam through Union Public Service Commission every year. You are required to satisfy required criteria to be eligible for Civil Service exam.

Eligibility Criteria:

- Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university and final candidate are eligible.
- The age should not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years and relaxation will be applicable for reserved category students.

Following eligibilities are required to getting government sector jobs:
1) Candidate should have a valid graduation from recognized university with first class marks.
2) Candidate passed his/her 10th and 12th with 60% marks from a respected board.
3) Candidate should have good communication skills.
4) Candidate will be appeared in civil services exams to getting job in government sector.
5) After appearing in written exam candidate will have to be clear the GD and Interview round in manner to getting job in government sector.
6) Candidate maximum age will be 30 years to apply for the government jobs, the age limit will be 3 year increased in case of BC candidates and 5 years increase in case of SC/ST candidates.
7) Candidate should be a citizen of India.
