In order to join Army or Indian Navy, you are required to follow certain procedure. You can join Indian Navy or Army through several processes. They are,

> Through 12th Class

> Through Graduation

After successful completion of 12th Class, you can appear in NDA/ NA (National Defence Academy or Naval Academy) Examination that is conducted by Union Public Service Commission. Only unmarried male candidates are eligible to join Indian Navy or Army wings.

On the other side, you may join Indian Navy or Army through CDA (Combined Defence Services) Examination which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission. The basic educational qualification required is Graduation or Bachelor Degree from a recognized university in order to join Navy or Army through CDS.

You can apply for Indian Army and Navy in two ways. First after completion of intermediate in PCM group from a recognized board you can apply for NDA exam which is conducted by UPSC.

Second after completion of your graduation in any stream from a recognized university you can apply for CDS exam which is also conducted by UPSC.

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Air Force:
>For Flying Branch- A candidate should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with science stream from a recognized board.
>For Technical Branch- A candidate should have completed B.Tech/B.E course from a recognized university.
>For Ground Duty- Candidates with bachelor's in science or bachelor's of technology from a recognized University are eligible for this post.

There are competitive entrance exams conducted at 10+2 level and bachelor's degree level to get into Army or Navy or Air Force. Science or engineering candidates are eligible for Navy and Air Force.

Assuming you are graduate then you can apply for Combined Defence Services examination. The age limit for Indian Military academy is 19-24 years and that for Naval academy is 19-22 years. CDS examination is conducted twice every year by Union Public Service Commission.

You will have to clear written test and Service Selection Board to join Indian Army or Navy.

You can apply for Army or Navy recruitment's in several procedures. The minimum educational qualification required for joining Indian Navy or Army is given below.

To join Indian Army or Navy, you have to appear in NDA examination which is conducted by UPSC twice a year. Candidates who have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination with Mathematics and Physics subjects from a recognised board are eligible to appear in NDA examination. You need to be in between 16.5 to 19.5 years of age, should be an unmarried male candidate and should be physically as well as mentally fit to be eligible to appear in NDA examination for joining in Indian Army or Navy.
