The minimum educational qualification required to appear in UPSC examination is completion of Graduation or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised university. For UPSC NDA examination, the candidate must have passed 12th standard from a recognised board.

The age limit required to appear in most of the UPSC examinations is 21-32 years and for NDA examination, it is 16 1/2 to 19 1/2 years.
