What is the ex-serviceman quota for Indian Police Service?
I am about to retire from Indian navy. And after that i want to join police force. So please tell me about the ex- serviceman quota for joining police force?

IPS(Indian police services) examination is conducted by UPSC every year.The age limit to apply for IPS exam is 21-32 years for General category, 21-35 years for OBC candidates, 21-37 years for SC/ST category & EX-SERVICEMEN.And the candidate must be citizen of India and must be mentally,physically fit to apply for IPS examination.And the minimum educational qualification required to apply for IPS exam is Graduation in any Stream from UGC approved institution.And maximum number of attempts allowed for IPS examination are : 4 times for General candidates, 7 times for OBC category, no such limit for SC and ST candidates.The selection procedure of IPS recruitment is preliminary exam,main examination, physical efficiency test and personal interview.For further information regarding IPS exam, please visit www.upsc.gov.in
