I am Jasvir Singh from Doraha dist Ludhiana, Punjab. I have passed 10th class with 62% marks and my 12th class pass percentage is 62% marks and I am student of BCA 2nd year. I am ready for Indian air force.

To join Indian Air Force after completion of your BCA degree course, you should have to appear in CDS examination which is conducted by UPSC twice a year. Eligibility criteria required to apply for UPSC CDS examination is mentioned below :-

--> You should be a citizen of India.

--> You should have passed Bachelor's degree course with Mathematics and Physics subjects at 12th standard level from a recognised board.

--> You should be in the age range of 19-24 years.

--> You should be an unmarried male candidate

--> You should be physically fit as per physical standards mentioned in the UPSC CDS examination notification.

Procedure to join Indian Air Force after BCA degree:-

Male candidates can also join Airforce after clearing the CDS exam.

Eligibility criteria:-

Candidate must be a citizen of India

Candidate must be an unmarried male

Candidate must be physically fit

Candidate must have an eye sight of 6 by 6

Candidate must have a minimum height 157 centimetres

Eligibility criteria for CDS:-

For army :-

Candidate must be a graduate in any stream from a recognised University

For Air force and Navy:-

Candidate must be a graduate from a recognised University having physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects.

Age limit for army :-

19 years to 24 years


For Navy :-

19 years to 22 years

For Air Force :-

19 years to 23 years.

Procedure to join Indian Air Force after completion of BCA course:

In order to join Indian Air Force, you are required to apply for Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission.

>> There are several wings that come under CDS and one of them is "Air Force Academy".

>> You must have completed Graduation with Mathematics and Physics at 12th Class in order to be eligible.

>> Candidates who are doing the B.E are also eligible.

>> As you are doing BCA, you can apply for CDS Examination. UPSC releases CDS recruitment notification two times a year and you are required to apply from UPSC official website. Once you qualify written examination then you will be called for Personal Interview.

Yes, after completion of BCA you will become eligible for recruitment in Air Force.

For recruitment you have to appear and qualify in CDS or AFCAT examination.

You are eligible to appear in examination. The examination is conducted in two stages and you have to qualify in written and SSB stage for final selection.
