Hi friends, please let me know about the procedure of selection in Steno Typist recruitment of HSSC. I want to get selected and preparing for this recruitment. Please help me to know about this.

Haryana Staff Selection Commission select the candidates for Steno Typist positions, according to their typing speed. Candidates are called to appear for a typing test at first. The selected candidates then have to appear for an interview which decides their final selection. Interested candidates can visit their official website and apply for the job http://www.hssc.gov.in/

Selection Procedure of HSSC Steno Typist Recruitment:

As far as my best knowledge is concerned, selection is done on the basis of marks secured in Interview. But before that you should make sure that you have below mentioned shorthand speed in order to apply for this recruitment. So that, you will be qualified in the shorthand test if conducted. Here are the details,

>> English Shorthand:
Speed of - 80 words per minute
Transcription there of - 15 words per minute
Mistakes should not exceed 8%

(or)

>> Hindi Shorthand:
Speed of - 64 words per minute
Transcription there of 11 words per minute
Mistakes should not exceed 8%

Selection procedure for this post is simple by HSSC because a candidate who want to appear in the selection procedure do not need to follow various forms and other things through online or offline mode.

Candidate need to collect all his/her documents of educational qualification, shorthand writing certificate, caste certificate, domicile certificate, photos etc. at the center of the test along with xerox copies in self attested mode.

Candidate should report at the office on time and given date and present the required documents in proper format required by the selection committee then candidates will be called for shorthand writing test in sequence given by the board.

Candidates will have to clear shorthand writing test in minimum 80 WPM with writing and type the same content on computer whichever was spoken in 80 WPM speed in shorthand then candidates will have to write few lines of the passage in own handwriting then submit the sheets and other computer work.

If your shorthand test will be fine and as per required then you will be considered for the job that is why you need to practice for shorthand as much as possible that's the only possible way to get the job and if you provide better performance than others then you will be selected for the job.
