I am little worried about my future. Actually I am interested to apply and get in as a Assistant Loco Pilot through RRB recruitment. But I don’t know about the selection procedure. Can you help me to know about the selection procedure.

Candidates will be selected on basis of their performance in entrance examination conducted by RRB.

There are three stages in case of Assistant Loco Pilot:

First stage CBT.

Second stage CBT.

Third stage: Computer Based Test.

Merit list will be prepared after all these stages. Depending upon performance of candidates after all three stages, candidates will be get joining letter.

Selection Process of RRB Assistant Loco Pilot Recruitment:

The selection process of this RRB Assistant Loco Pilot Recruitment consists of the below mentioned stages. They are,

<> First Stage Computer Based Test

<> Second Stage Computer Based Test

<> Computer Based Aptitude Test (Only for ALP)

<> Document Verification

You are required to qualify all the above mentioned rounds one by one in order to get selected finally. Candidates will be selected on the basis of merit marks secured in first CBT, second CBT, Computer Based Aptitude Test and DV. In general, the standard of the examination will be inline with the educational standard or minimum technical qualification that is prescribed for the posts. You will be tested on subjects like Reasoning, General Awareness, General Science, Technical Ability, General Intelligence and Arithmetic.

You will be selected if your name appears in merit list of RRB ALP entrance examination.

There are three hurdles for you.

You should clear stage I then stage II and final stage is Computer based test. Candidates who clear all these stages and finally selected will get job of Assistant Loco Pilot.

The last date to apply for 2018 exam is 31st March.

The selection process of RRB Assistant Loco Pilot examination consists of three rounds namely Written test, Document Verification and Medical fitness test. To be eligible to apply for RRB Loco Pilot examination, you should have 10th standard or above qualification from a Government recognised board. The age criteria required to apply for RRB Assistant Loco Pilot examination is 18 to 28 years. Upper age relaxation is applicable to reserved category candidates as per government rules.

For selection as Assistant Loco Pilot you have to appear and qualify for entrance examination conducted by RRB.

The eligibility to appear for examination is that :

Candidate must have passed ITI or Diploma degree from a recognised institute.

The age limit is 18-30 years for general category and relaxation for reserved category.

You have to appear and qualify in written and medical test for final selection. Document verification is also mandatory for final selection.

There are good number of vacancies released for candidates who want to become Loco Pilot in Indian Railways. The last date to apply for RRB ALP exam is 31st March, 2018. Candidates who have done 10+2 or degree or diploma in engineering can apply for this examination.

There are two stages of this exam. Candidates who clear both stage are eligible for Computer Based test. Final selection of candidates is done after CBT.

RRB Assistant Loco Pilot’s selection will be based on 4 stages which are as follows:-
1. First Stage CBT
2. Second Stage CBT
3. Computer based aptitude Test
4. Document Verification

First Stage CBT is of screening nature and will be of the following pattern:
No. of Questions – 75
Duration – 60 Minutes
Subjects – Mathematics, General Science, General Awareness on Current Affairs, General Intelligence & Reasoning

Second Stage CBT shall have two parts, Part A and Part B as mentioned below:
Part A:
No. of Questions – 100
Duration – 90 Minutes
Subjects – Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Basic Science & Engineering, General Awareness on Current Affairs

Part B:
No. of Questions – 75
Duration – 60 Minutes
Subjects – Relevant Trade

Assistant Loco Pilot entrance examination is conducted by RRB. The examination is conducted in two stages as :

Written.

Medical test.

Aspirants who clear different stages of RRB Assistant loco pilot exam will be selected. The different stages of exam are:

First stage CBT and Second stage CBT common for ALP and Technician.

Those who have applied for Locopilot will have to clear Computer Based Aptitude Test as well.

It is mentioned that marks will be normalized in all stages.

Selection procedure of RRB Assistant Loco Pilot requirement:-

To get selection in the Indian Railways loco pilot requirement, candidates will have to appear in the 1st Stage CBT, 2nd Stage CBT, Computer Based apititude test and document verification .

The complete procedure for the requirement process is given below:-

1st Stage CBT( Common for ACP / Tech.)

The common for exam both assistant loco pilot and technician is the first stage is Computer Based Test.

Qualifying marks:-

The minimum percentage for eligibility in various categories is as follows:-

OBC Candidates - minimum 30% marks
SC Candidates - minimum 30% marks
ST Candidates - minimum 25% marks

2nd Stage CBT:-

The candidates shortlisted in the first stage CBT exam would be eligible for the 2nd Stage CBT exam part A and part B.

Qualifying marks :-

The minimum qualification for all category candidates shortlisted in part B is 35%.
