Sir/Madam, Is there any height(Physically) issue for any SSC CGL post or if which are the post in SSC through CGL in which height does not matter?

There are many posts under this Combined Graduate Level Examination which is conducted by Staff Selection Commission. These physical requirements are not required for all post, but required for some of the posts. Such posts and their height requirements are given below.

>> For Inspector post in Central Excise or Inspector (as a preventive officer) :-
* Height Required - 157.5 cms - For Male Candidates

* Height Required - 152 cms - For Female Candidates

Height is relaxable for reserved or tribal region candidates by 5 cms for Male candidates and 2.5 cms for Female candidates.

If you are applying for any defense service like SI and CBI then you should have to be physically fit. But you can apply for other posts also like junior accountant or accountant etc. In these kind of posts height doesn't matter. Thanks

Physical criteria required only on CBI post which is conducted by SSC CGL.

CBI, Physical standard for Male candidate :-

i) Physical Standards ( Minimum )

Height 157.5 cms.
Chest 81 cms. ( expanded of 5 cms. )

ii) SSC Physical Test :

Walking : 1600 metres in 15 minutes.
Cycling : 8 Kms. In 30 minutes.

CBI, Physical standard for Female fandidate :-

i) Physical standards ( Minimum )
Height 152 cms.
Weight 48 Kgs.

ii) Physical Test

Walking : 1 Km. in 20 minutes.
Cycling : 3 Kms. in 25 minutes.

c) Vision :

Eye-sight ( with or without glasses )
Distant vision : 6/6 in one and 6/9 in the other eye.
Near vision 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye.

SSC CGL Physical Efficiency Test, Physical & Medical Standard for Posts in BRO. Note: “Candidates qualifying through Staff Selection Commission will have to mandatorily pass the test in one mile run to be held at GREF Centre, Pune to undergo further medical examination,” informs the official website

The height must not be less than 165 cms for General category candidates. A minimum of 76 cms With expansion. Distant vision: 6/6 in one and 6/9 in the other eye. Near vision 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in
