I am 38 years old. Working in an IT company. My PG is MBA(HR), but I don't possess experience in the HR field. Is there a possibility that I get a suitable job in government sector? Can someone please get back to me with the right answer? Thank you!

As you have mentioned above that you are a widow of 38 years old, so it would be very difficult for you to get a job in government sectors. In order to give you the proper information I have attached a link below where you will be able to find the age limit of widows to apply for government jobs. But, if you belong to SC/ST category then you can apply for jobs till the age of 40 years.

You have completed your post graduation in MBA, so now you can appear for NET entrance examination and apply for lecturer's position in government colleges as there is no age limit to apply for this position. Generally, widows can apply for government jobs till 35 years of age. Your age now is 38 years, so if you belong to SC/ST category then you can still apply for jobs upto 40 years of age.

Age criteria differs in different government examination and is not constant throughout. However, at an average the maximum age limit for various government examinations is 30 years.

Therefore, if you are below that age you can apply for various government examinations otherwise you cannot.

Age limit for widow is 35 years (40 years for SC/ST) to apply for Group C and D posts under the Central Government filled through SSC and the Employment Exchange.
Each state sets different age restriction for widows. In Uttar Pradesh there is no upper age limit for widows to apply for a government job. In Tamil Nadu the upper age limit for widows of all castes is 35 years.

The upper age limit for the widow, divorced woman or judicially separated from husband for the post of Group C and D is 35 years for general and OBC candidates and 40 years for SC/ST candidates. The age limit for the post like clerk or P.O is 18-28 years and 21-30 years and for the widows the upper age relaxation is 09 years.
