Segregation based on the ranking in the Civil Service Examination. If you want to join high civil service of authority of Indian you need to secure more marks in your examination. You have to perform well all the levels of the examination. IAS, IPS and IFS these are top level services in India. We called as Group A Services. Those who secure high scoring marks in Civil Service Examination they will get jobs in these services. The Selection Process is based on the Ranking in the examination + Preference of the candidate + need of the state that means how many number of candidates needed their respective state + Vacancies + other criteria's.

You considered that you are interested in IFS ( Indian forest service) service but you also know that the all examination are held together like IAS ( Indian administrative service) , IPS (Indian police service) , IFS (Indian forest service) , IRS ( Indian revenue service) and all the examination are under one examination that one is civil service examination. You also considered that which basis they select the candidates.

Now I am clearing about your confusion about that which basis they select the candidates on civil service examination. In civil service they select the candidates that first they see the carrier marking like your matriculation, intermediate and bachelor degree marks if you have secured higher scored then you have good impression and then you have appeared those Civil Service examination.

And they select on the basis of entrance examination score after that they take your interview by the experienced person and the interview level questions are very hard to do answer but they don't see your answer whether you give right or correct answer they see only only your body language and your smartness, that how smart you are and also they see your dress up so you have to careful about all that.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
