Respected Sir, I want to join the Custom Department as a Custom Officer so I want to know about the eligibility criteria required to apply for Custom Officer's post? What is the procedure of applying? Please answer as soon as possible.

For recruitment as Custom Officer you have to appear and qualify in Civil Services examination conducted by UPSC.

The eligibility to appear for examination is candidate must have passed bachelor degree from any recognised university and age limit is 21-32 years with relaxation for reserved category.

The examination is conducted in three stages as Preliminary, Mains and Interview and candidates have to appear and qualify in all three stages of examination for final selection. For more information about examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in.

In order to join custom department as a custom officer position you have to qualify the civil services examination which is conducted by UPSC, so to appear for this examination you have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

> Candidates should have completed their bachelor's degree in any discipline with 55% marks from a recognized college/university are eligible to apply.

> Their age should be in between 18 years to 27 years.

> For SC/ST candidates the age is relaxed by 5 years and for OBC it is 3 years.

> Height should be minimum 157.5 cms.

The selection will be done on the basis of marks secured in the examination followed by physical test and personal interview.
