Hi, Am a Mechanical Engineering Graduate. Am always fascinated about Custom officers.... i wanted to know about the selection procedures of it. And also the upcoming exam dates for that particular post.... kindly help me to get on top of it.

Yes.You can apply for Custom Officer Exam as you have completed bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.Custom Officers are appointed through UPSC entrance exam to collect & maintain duty & entry of restricted goods.

Eligibility
- You should have bachelor degree in any discipline from recognized university
- Your age must be more than 18 years.

Customs Officer or Airport Customs Officer is a prestigious job that comes under 'Group A' in Civil Services.

To become Customs Officer, you will have to appear for Civil Services Exam conducted by UPSC every year.

This exam has three stages i.e.

• Preliminary Exam (CSAT Exam)
• Mains Exam
• Personal Interview

Age Limit:

• For General: 21 to 30 years
• For OBC: 21 to 33 years
• For SC/ST: 21 to 35 years

No. of Attempts:

• For General: 3
• For OBC: 7
• For SC/ST: No Restriction

Educational Qualification:
You must have at least 55% marks in Bachelor course to apply for Civil Services Exam.
