Hi, I have 8 years experience in software industry with 62 percentage marks in computer science engineering and I am looking a job in government sector. Can someone please help me with the required details on the same? Hope that I will get the answer soon. Thanks!

For government sector job, you need to fulfill the age criteria. There are not many jobs related to work experience, specially in software field.

If you are a software engineer, then you don't have much options available in government sector. Most of the jobs in this field are in private sector.

As Per rules Age limit of Government jobs is MIN.,21 years Max., Age limit is 30 years.

For the OBC candidates the age limit from MIN.,21 to MAX.,33 years

For SC/ST candidates the age limit from MIN.,21 to MAX.,35 years

You can apply for these exams.
You should have some eligibility criteria like:-

1.You should have 60% in your 10th
2.You should have 60% in your 12th
3.60% in your graduation degree.
4.Should not have any pending backlogs.
5.Should not have more then 1 year gap between studies.

You should have these criteria fulfilled to get a job in the govt. companies.
