I am Mechanical Engineer & right now employed in BPSL.
My question is what should be the maximum
age for applying SSC CGL recruitment examination?
Please let me know immediately.

Maximum age required generally varies from post to post in SSC CGL Recruitment Examination. Here is the details of Maximum age of several posts,

>> For Assistant Posts in Central Secretariat Service, Intelligence Bureau, Central Vigilance Commission, Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Railway, AFHQ, CBDT, CBEC, and Inspector post in CBEC, Inspector (Examiner) in CBEC, Inspector in Central Bureau of Narcotics - Maximum age is 27 years

>> For Assistant Enforcement Officer, Sub Inspector in Central Bureau of Investigation, Sub Inspector in National Investigation Agency - Up to 30 years

>> For Statistical Investigator Grade II - Maximum age is 32 years

>> For All Non Interview Posts (Auditor, Accountant, Junior Account, Tax Assistant and UDC Posts) - Maximum age is 27 years

Dear there are various types of posts to get through SSC CGL Examination. Based on the type of post there is Various Age criteria limits based on the posts.

Coming to your question maximum age should be 27 years as per the SSC CGL Examination. But for different types there will be different age limits.

Here we are providing to the updates Age limits as per SSC CGL Examination.

--> For Sub Inspectors posts : 20 to 28 years

--> Assistant posts in various departments : 20 to 27 years

--> Remaining posts : 18 to 27 years.

If you are belonging to " Reserved cadre " you will have Age relaxation as per the reservation norms.

For OBC -- 3 years

For SC/ST -- 5 years

Last date to fill the Online Application form : 28/05/2015

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an Indian government organization which will recruit staff members for the various posts in the various departments and ministries.

Minimum qualification required to apply for this examination is completing a degree course from a recognized Institution.

Age criteria:-

1. Sub Inspectors in CPOs – 20 years to 25 years
2. Assistant / Sub Inspector in CBI – 20 years to 27 years
3. Statistical Investigators – Maximum 26 years
4. For all other posts – 18 years to 27 years.
