I am Neha. And i am willing to join police force on the post of constable. So i need to know about the physical qualification required for becoming a police constable. Please help me.

Physical requirements to become Police Constable for females :

>> Height should be -- 150 cms

For ST candidates there is a relaxation of 5cms in sense of height.

>> Chest for Female candidates -- 79 cms extension of 5cms.

>> Eye sight - 6/6 or 6/9 for good vision.

>> Minimum Age should be 21 years

Maximum Age should be 30 years.

Being a female candidate you must have minimum height of 152 centimeters. Also your weight should be appropriate to weight. Generally minimum weight is taken as 47.5 kilograms for female candidates for the police constable post. You must have 5 centimeter chest expansion on full inhalation.
Also you must have to pass 800 meters race in just 220 seconds. You have to jump 9 feet long and 3 feet high for passing the physical test for the post of police constable.

For Male candidates:-

Height: 165 CM

Chest (Lower): 79 CM

Chest (Higher): 84 CM (Minimum Expansion of 5 CM)

For Female candidates:-

Height: 157 CM
