Re: What is the procedure to apply for government bank jobs?
The minimum academic qualification required to apply for banking job is bachelor's degree from any recognized university. Final year candidates of bachelor's degree can also apply for banking job entrance exams.
IBPS which stands for Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection conducts common written exam for post of Clerk and Probationary officer for more than twenty nationalized banks. State Bank of India conducts its own entrance examination for these posts. You can apply for both of these exams after bachelor's degree. The age limit for PO exam is 20-28 years. The notification is yet to be released for IBPS PO and Clerk exam this year. You can visit official website http://www.ibps.in for latest updates. Once notification is out, you can apply for exam. |

Re: What is the procedure to apply for government bank jobs?
Being a graduate, you have the option of becoming bank clerk or bank probationary officer by clearing their respective entrance examinations such as IBPS bank examinations or SBI bank examinations.
IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Service and it conducts different bank examinations for recruitment at different posts in 21 nationalized banks of India where as SBI refers for State bank of India and it conducts examinations for recruitment in any branch of SBI only. Apart from your educational qualification, to be eligible for appearing in the same examinations you need to have the qualifications mentioned below :- * You must be an Indian resident. * Your age must lie within 20 years to 28 years and 21 years to 30 years for the posts of bank clerk and bank probationary officer respectively. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates in both cases as per the government norms. * Also you need to have good communication skills along with knowledge to work on computers as banking works are more digital. For more details and updates regarding the mentioned examinations you must refer to their official link which are www.ibps.in or www.sbiexam.com. |
