Hello Sir, my name is Rupal resident at Chennai .I have passed 12th (commerce) and I’m interested to join Indian Army. Sir, actually I want to know why only man.

As per the UPSC guidelines mentioned in the NDA examination notification, only unmarried male candidates who have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination from a recognised board are eligible to join Indian Army through NDA examination. As it is clearly mentioned in the NDA examination, being a girl candidate, you are not eligible to join Indian Army.

A girl after passing 12th is not eligible for joining Indian Army.

You have to complete your graduation before applying for Indian Army.

For joining Indian Army you have to apply for CDS.

Eligibility Criteria:-

You should have completed your graduation.

Your age should be between 19 to 21 years.

You should have passed 12th class( 10+2 ) system of education or its equivalent.

You should be unmarried.

As per the upsc criteria you are not eligible for NDA exam . To join Indian army after 12th a candidate needs to apply for NDA exam.

If a girl wants to join Indian army than she needs to have a bachelor's degree.
After that she has to apply for CDS exam.

Eligibility criteria for CDS-
A candidate must be an Indian citizen.

A candidate must be graduated with any discipline.

A candidate should be unmarried.

A candidate must have minimum 19 years of age and maximum 21 years of age.
