MBBS stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. As per Supreme court latest order there will be only one entrance examination conducted for admission of candidates into MBBS and BDS course. The entrance examination is called National Eligibility cum Entrance test.

NEET will be conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education. The eligibility criteria for this examination is that candidate must have done 10+2 from a recognized board. Important subjects compulsory for this exam is Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Minimum of 50% marks required is to be eligible for this exam.

You are eligible for NEET exam after scoring 52% total and 66% marks in biology in standard 12th.

Your class 12th marks only will not decide the merit list for admission in government medical college. Performance in medical entrance exams will also be important.

Hence, try to perform well in exams like NEET or any other state level medical entrance exam. Merit for admission is prepared for based in marks in class 12th and entrance exam.
