I am a student of 10+2 West Bengal board of secondary education in typical Indian educational system. My subjects are BIOLOGY, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY. And i will complete my 10+2 in march. Now, at this moment after 10+2 i want to do higher studies in MICROBIOLOGY. And as i am totally ignorant about this subject, i want your help to rectify my confusions about this subject. My questions are following...
1. What are the plus points which i should have to study this subject?
2. I love zoology and physiology, but does that mean i would love MICROBIOLOGY like these subjects?
3. after M.Sc, should I do further studies in this subject or should i search for jobs?
4. please tell me the career opportunities of this subject in details or give me some web links which will help me.
5. which are the best colleges to study MICROBIOLOGY in India?
6. job opportunities after complete M.Sc.

Microbiology :

The name itself indicates that Microbiology is the study of Microscopic Organisms.

In detail it is the study of unicellular, multicellular, or acellular organisms.

Every subject has its significance in current world, so you can't expect any negative points if you take up Microbiology.

Apart from highlighting the plus points of studying Microbiology I can tell that it will have (/has) great scope in coming years.

If your interest is in studying related to Zoology and Physiology then Microbiology should not be in your path. Because Zoology is the study of animal biology where as Physiology is the study of all living organism's functions like cells, organs, molecules, etc,.

You can get into the Graduation courses related to either Zoology or Physiology or in both.
