Which is better among CAT and IAS for B.Sc(Chemistry) Honours 2nd year student who is weak in English?

Sir,
I am a student of B.Sc(H) in Chemistry 2nd year. My ambition was to crack CAT or IAS exam, but I had taken admission in Chemistry Honours. I like Chemistry too but my English is so weak. I am very confused. Whether got for CAT or for IAS? Kindly suggest me.

The obvious choice for you is IAS. You can write the preliminary and main examinations in a language other than English also. You can take the interview also in a similar manner. Hence this will be better option for you than CAT.

CAT is the Common Admission Test conducted by IIMs for selecting students for their business administration program. This will be computer based. The computer application as well as business administration will necessarily require a good command over the English language.

-->It depends on your interest, You can very well go for CAT or UPSC.
-->For CAT
-You should be completing a degree from any domain from a recognized university.
-CAT will be completely analytical based questions so you will have to be strong in analytical skills ( Mathematics).
-English aso plays a major role in CAT exam as it has Verbal reasoning questions.
-This will give your career to pursue M.B.A in top universities like IIM's.

-->For UPSC
-UPSC conducts many exams like Civil Service(IAS/ IPS/ IFS etc.) for Civil service aspirants.
-CDS is conducted twice in a year for the posts like Executive which helps you to get into Defense services.

Eligibility for UPSC Service
-Citizen of India
-Should be a Graduate with Minimum 65%.(Relaxation is there for reserve candidates)
-Age Limit - 21-30 yrs
-Some post require Physical qualifications.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
