My name is Debasish. I'm aspiring to get into the Army. I'm highly motivated but my age doesn't allow me to write the NDA exams. So is there any way of joining the Indian Army after graduation ? If so , then how ? Please reply.

Yes, you can join Indian Army after completion of graduation. You can join Indian Army through Combined Defense Service (CDS) Examination. The CDS examination will be conducted by the UPSC. For Indian Military Academy unmarried male candidates aged between 20 years to 24 years are eligible. The applicant should have studied graduation degree from a recognized university. So after completion of graduation in any discipline, you are eligible to apply for Indian Army. After clearing the written test, one has to appear for Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test. Yes, there a number of exams you can give during or after your graduation to join the Indian Armed forces.
First of all, let me tell you that your chances of joining the Indian Army or just the opportunities you get to join the Army vary depending upon the graduation field you have taken or the course you are doing.
Since you have not mentioned, what degree you are going to pursue or are currently pursuing, let me tell you that the Science stream has more openings than the commerce or Arts stream.
This is because the Indian Army also requires doctors and engineers for the missions.
Thus, if you are pursuing an engineering degree, then you may apply for UES. All you have to do is go to the website and apply. After which they will come to your college for an interview where they will ask you about current affairs and a few technical questions.
If you want to join in as a doctor then you will have to apply on the Indian Armed forces site as a doctor/casualty specialist. Again there will be an interview after this, but with more technical questions and less current affairs.

If you are doing neither of the above or you want to join the Indian Army as a soldier, then you may give the CDS exam. All you need is to have a graduation degree from a recognized university. The exam is often followed by Aptitude and Intelligence test.

After giving any of these exams/interviews you do not directly get selected. For that you have to pass the physical test or the SSB.
You must know that the application for all of these exams must be started when you are still completing your graduation and not after it as it will then become too late.

If you have completed graduation degree from a recognized University then you are eligible for Indian Army through CDS exam.

Indian Military Academy:- You need to be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized University. Your age should be between 19 to 24 years.

Officer's Training Academy:- You need to have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University or institution. Your age should be between 19 to 25 years.
