Re: Is chemistry is compulsory to become an engineer
First thing I would like to let you know that to be an engineer you need to pursue Bachelor of Engineering / Technology degree course which is a professional degree course of four years.
Further for pursuing B.E./B.Tech degree course the minimum educational qualification required is a higher secondary school degree with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from a recognized board. Students holding diploma in engineering degree are also eligible. It is evident from above mentioned facts that to be an engineer you need to have studied Chemistry at your higher secondary school degree unless you have pursued diploma in engineering course after your Class 10th. |

Re: Is chemistry is compulsory to become an engineer
Chemistry is a compulsory subject in 12th to take admission in Engineering. One must have Physics,Maths and Chemistry as subjects to appear for entrance test or through direct admission etc. Infact Chemistry is a subject in 1st year/semester of B.E/B.Tech so you need to clear it there as well.
