You can do Diploma Course after completing ITI in Machinist. To join in Diploma course you have to appear and qualify in the entrance exam conducted by the respective university, after clearing that you can join through lateral entry into the second year directly.

You can select a diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Diploma in Production Engineering. There is a lot of scope available for diploma holders in the job market. One can get a good salary after completing diploma than ITI. For ITI holders also there are vacancies in Railways and in many private sector manufacturing companies.
