How to make a Lecturership career in Sociology field?

To become lecturer, any candidate has to appear for the National Eligibility Test. In short it is called NET. This is the entrance exam conducted by the University Grants Commission in the month of June and December respectively.

To be eligible for the NET exam, a candidate must have done master's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. The minimum percentage of marks is 55% in master's degree.

So to be a lecturer of sociology, you must have scored 55% in master's degree then only you can appear for the NET exam. There is no upper age limit for the lectureship. The official website of UGC NET is www.ugcetonline.in.

For getting a lecture job in government college you need post graduation in sociology with NET/SET score. You must have 55% marks in your post graduation to become eligible for these exam.

You can get lecturer job in private colleges without NET/SET score but salary will depend on your experience.

In order to go for the Lectureship carrier in any of the subjects say it Sociology you need to Qualify your B.Ed degree course so, that you can be eligible for the lecturer position in any of the college. And then you need to complete your master followed by PhD program and then apply to any reputed private or government college.
