Is it necesssary to appear in JEE Advance to get admission in IIT? Whether the authority decides admission in IIT campuses?
Sir,
To get into an IIT one has to appear for JEE Advanced, is that right? Please answer me. To get an IIT of one's choice, say Mumbai or Kanpur, is it decided by one's results or is it left to the discretion of the authorities? Please reply. |

Yes, to get admission in IIT, you must have to appear, qualify and must have to secure top rank in JEE Advanced examination. Candidates who have qualified and secured top 1,50,000 rank in JEE Main examination are eligible to appear in JEE Advanced examination. By qualifying and securing top rank in JEE Advanced examination, you can get admission in IIT for pursuing your higher studies.

It is totally dependent on the Marks that is obtained by the candidate.
It all depends on the marks that is obtained in the JEE Advanced and it is not the discretion of the authorities of any of the IIT's. So it will be entirely on the student who wants to qualify. You will have to score very good marks and if you do so you will be able to get admission to the Institute of your choice. |
