B.Tech is a technical degree and it requires regular classes, if you want an AICTE approved qualification. There are many open universities which offer degrees in correspondence, but they are not equal to B.Tech.

Hence, you can pursue similar courses from IGNOU or any other distance mode university, but you will not get any AICTE approved degree.

As you have mentioned above that you want to pursue B.Tech through correspondence mode, so regarding that I have listed some of the institutes which offers the same:

> Manipal University.

> SRM University.

> K.K Handique State University.

> Netaji Subhash Open University.

> Nalanda Open University.

> Kota Open University.

> Karnataka State Open University.

> Dr. BR Ambedkar Open University.

> Nalanda Open University.

In order to get admission in any of these institutes you have to get the application form from the respective institute and send it to them with the amount of fees required. After that you will have to submit the necessary documents and there will be will be no entrance examination for that.

No, according to the guidelines of AICTE, a graduation course which contains at least 40% of its part as practical, cannot be done through the distance learning.

Engineering a degree whose all the stream contain a vital part as practicals.

So, you cannot pursue Engineering through this mode.

If any university claims this, then do not trust them. You will just waste your money and time and all will go in vain.
