Sir, I am in 3rd year of Mechanical Engineering and looking for internship training in Automobile companies. Is it beneficiary for me? Should I approach Tata Motors and Thermax?

Yes, any reputed company will be a good option for training purpose. If you can approach a bigger mechanical engineering core company, then it will be better surely.

But if you are not getting chances to get into any such company, then make sure you go for training at a reputed automobile engineering company only.
