Can I apply in UGC-NET to get stipend if studying PhD from Distance University?
Hello, I am doing PhD in Economics from a distance university at West Bengal. I have taken admission this year without NET or any entrance exam. But now I want stipend for my PhD. So, can I give UGC NET for getting stipend? Is this possible for me?

Quote:
NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted twice time in year by UGC. Those candidates who have completed masters degree from a recognized university are eligible for NET exam. General and OBC candidates should hold 55% and above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree. Your age should be below 28 years. There is no age criteria for lectureship post. |
