Is the Civil Engineering post graduated eligible to apply for the NET exam? What is the minimum criteria followed for the same? Can you please provide me the information on the same? What is the procedure which I need to follow to apply for the exam?

Yes, the M.E or M.Tech Civil Engineering graduates with a minimum of 55% marks are eligible for NET examination. So, you are eligible to appear for NET examination. Aspirants who have secured minimum of 55% marks in Master Degree from a recognized universities or institutions are eligible for NET examinations. The examination will be conducted twice a year. Yes, post graduate in Civil Engineering candidates are eligible for UGC NET exam.

The educational qualification required for UGC NET exam is masters degree from a recognized university with above 55% marks. 5% relaxation is given for SC/ST category candidates. Final year student are also eligible for UGC NET exam.

There is no age criteria for UGC NET exam but for JRF posts, your age should be below 28 years.

Marks distribution for each papers of UGC NET Exam:-

Section 1 - 100 marks(60 questions are there)
Section 2 - 100 marks(50 questions are there)
Section 3 - 150 marks(75 questions are there)
