Is entrance exam compulsory for doing Ph.D in correspondence mode? Can you please tell me which exam we need to give and how to prepare for them? It will be helpful if you can answer me soon as possible on the same. Awaiting for the quick response. Thank you!

For admission in any Ph.D programme, entrance exam is compulsory until you have a M.Phil degree or 5 years of experience in given field. You can apply for admission in some universities based on your post graduation but selection will be very difficult.

Hence, you must try to qualify exams like NET/SET/GATE/JRF, if you want admission in Ph.D. You can also apply for entrance exam which is is conducted by the university.

Yes, definitely you have to appear in the Entrance examination in order to apply for the Ph.D course through correspondence mode also. You must have to appear in the UGC-NET examination, qualifying in which you can take admission to study Ph.D course.
Eligibility criteria to appear for the NET examination is that candidates must have completed their Masters degree from a recognised University with a minimum of 55% of marks in it.
You must go through your Post Graduation studies thoroughly as questions mainly come from there only.
