I want to do M.Phil or Ph.D in Psychology. I have completed PG in Psychology from madras university. My age is 52 years and have experienced of teaching more than 18 years. Can I do Ph.D from Madras University?

I am happy to say you that you can definitely do Ph.D as ypou have completed your Masters degree course. There is no age restriction to do Ph.D degree course.

I am happy to say you that you are definitely eligible to study Ph.D after the completion of M.A through distance mode. Since you have completed M.A through distance mode, there is no problem in it to opt Ph.D.

Eligibility criteria to do Ph.D:-

Candidates must have completed Master's degree from a recognised University.
Candidates must have scored at least 55% of marks in Master's degree.
Candidates must have a valid UGC-NET score card.
There is no age criteria.

Yes, of course it is possible for you to study PhD in Psychology in IGNOU at the age of 52 years. If you have cleared the M.A in Psychology with at least 55% marks then you are eligible to do PhD in IGNOU. You can study the course through Distance mode. There is no age limit to study the PhD through IGNOU. You should clear a PhD Entrance Test and Interview for the admission. You can get the details in the university study center or in website.
