Is there separate exam of NET and JRF conducted by UGC for Sociology subject?
Hi
I have done M.B.A.in Rural Management with CGPA 7.72/10. I am interested to appear in UGC-NET or JRF Exam. I wanted to know if there is a separate exam for JRF and NET in sociology?? |

Yes, UGC NET conducts exam for Sociology subject. Hence, if you have got Master's degree in Sociology field or its equivalent with at least 55% marks, then you are definitely eligible to apply for it. There is relaxation of 5% marks for candidates who belong to reserved category.
If you qualify UGC NET then you will be eligible for JRF provided you fulfill the age criteria. For JRF age should be below 28 years. If you belong to reserved category then you can avail age relaxation. |
