Dear Sir/Mam,
I have passed M.A. in mathematics in this year.I want to know that am I eligible for M.Tech if I qualify the gate exam.I am from arts background.In higher secondary level I have the arts stream.Then I complete my graduation and post graduation in the subject mathematics.
so if u kindly inform me I will be very grateful.

You have completed M.A in Mathematics, So you are eligible for M.Tech course. But you should qualify in GATE exam.

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

If you have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Architecture/Design or its equivalent or masters degree in science departments, then you are eligible for GATE exam. There are no restriction for attempts in GATE exam.You can apply any number of time. There is no age criteria but your minimum age must be above 18 years.

Sorry to say that you are not eligible for M.Tech course after completing MA in Mathematics course. You need to complete B.Tech or B.E in concerned specialisation to be eligible for M.Tech course. Those who complete M.Sc course in relevant specialisation can do M.Tech course through lateral entry. Being a MA student I suggest you to apply for PhD or M.Phil course in Mathematics, which you can make your career Research or Teaching field.
