Yes, you are eligible to apply for CAT examination after completion of B.Com course from a recognised university. CAT is an entrance examination which is conducted by Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for admission to MBA course in Indian Institutions. Candidates who have completed their Bachelor's degree course in any discipline with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks from a recognised university are eligible to appear in CAT examination. Since, you have secured 51% marks in B.Com course, you are eligible to appear in CAT examination.

CAT (Common Admission Test) Eligibility Criteria:
You are certainly eligible to appear for CAT examination. The minimum percentage required is 50% marks only. Since you have secured more than what is required (51%), you are eligible to appear for CAT Exam this year. >> For General/ OBC Candidates: 50% marks (Or) Equivalent CGPA >> For SC/ ST/ PWD/ DA Candidates: 45% marks (Or) Equivalent CGPA Since you have completed "Bachelor Degree" (B.Com) from a recognized university and secured percentage more than required, you are absolutely eligible to appear for CAT Examination. CAT (Common Admission Test) is an All India Level test conducted by IIMs (Indian Institute of Management's) for admission into Post graduation courses. |
