Future after doing post graduation in Biotechnology? Why Biotechnology is not introduce at +2 level?
hello my question is ,is there any future after doing post graduation in biotechnology ? I have done my graduation and post graduation both in biotechnology and stood topper in both, but the problem is biotech students are not eligible for applying in any kind of lectureship whereas plain botany post graduate students can apply for the same post , which will embarrass us a lot . why biotechnology is not introduce in 2 level? so that many biotech students will be engaged as a junior lecturer.

Hello Friend !!
Career after doing PG in Biotechnology : You have done a masters in the biotechnology, this will drive your career in a great way. You have glut of opportunities in both research field and also in the employment areas. The more degrees you get in this field the more opportunities you can find and can get into it very easily. You could participate in the Doctoral Research programs in the following institutions. 1. National Facility for Microbial Type Culture Collection (MTCC) at Institute of Microbial Technology, Chandigarh. 2. National Facility for Collection of Blue Green Algae (BGA) Collection at IARI, New Delhi. 3. National Facility for Marine Cyanobacteria at Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli. 4. National Facility for Plant Tissue Culture Repository at NBPGR, Pusa, New Delhi. 5. National Laboratory Animal House Facilities at Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow. 6. National Institute of Nutrition (NIN), Hyderabad. 7. National Institute of Immunology (NII), New Delhi. 8. The Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. 9. Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, Tamil Nadu. 10. BHU, Varanasi 11. National Facility for Animal Cell and Tissue Culture, Pune 12. Biochemical Engineering Research and Process Development Centre at IMTECH, Chandigarh. 13. Centre for DNA Finger Printing and Diagnostics (CDFD), Hyderabad. 14. JNU, New Delhi All these centers are Biotechnology labs which are equipped with advanced facilities. Admission Procedure : You shall be qualified in the CSIR-UGC JRF examination. Or else if you are interested in doing a job, then you have many Govt. Sectors with open doors. Top Companies in India hiring Post Graduates in Biotechnology are : Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. Department of Biotechnology, New Delhi. DRDO, New Delhi. Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi. National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi. Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. National Facility for Tissues and Cell Culture at Pune. International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology. Indian Council of Medical Research. Bharat Immunological and Biological Corporation. Biochemical Research Centre. Institute for Research for Reproduction. Indian Instituter of Science Bangalore etc. The reason for not introducing the Biotechnology Course in the Intermediate level is that, they already have lot of syllabus covering all the basics and fundamentals of Physics and Chemistry subjects including labs. Involving Biotechnology and other complicated subjects will not bring enough outputs from young brains. Good Luck !! |
